We've an exploratory week in Willow class asking lots of scientific questions and learning all about materials. Yesterday we went on a science trail to discover where all the different types of materials can be found. It was so much fun!
For the past number of weeks Willow class have been working with a local artist, Anne Cradden. The boys and girls have been exploring their artistic creativity using recycled materials. We have been busily making costumes, assuming roles, creating camouflage and having fun!
We'd love to show off all we have been making with a fashion show exhibition, tomorrow, November 16th, in our school hall at 11am.
Check out our video collage below to see all that we have been up to and get a flavour of what's to come tomorrow! We hope you can come along.
.Willow class have been exploring myths and legends in History and through Aistear this month. We explored the stories of 'The Giant's Causeway' and 'The Salmon of Knowledge'. We were inspired during our Aistear time to create artwork, dramas, constructions and write stories on these wonderful legends.
If any parents have any known legends or myths they know from their families we'd love to hear them in class too!
Today in family assembly we shared our school news and made a collaborative art project. We are all proud of who we are and we celebrated this through making peacock feathers in our families. We also celebrated all those who had 100% attendance in October! Well done everyone!
We are so proud of Elisheva for winning this week's student of the week in Willow Class. She received this award for creating some fantastic art pieces during our ReCreate time this week. Elisheva planned her pieces well and used lots of great oral language to decsribe and use them. They were really creative! Well done Elisheva, we're all so proud of you!
