With Eid fast approaching we have opened our celebration space in the Kamilah Room. If you would like to help decorate this space to be used as part of our Official Opening celebration, please pop along to the school anytime before Friday. We have a few decorations but please bring along anything you think might add to the space. Thanks!
Willow class are having their school tour next week! They are all super excited to go to Dublin Zoo! The price of the tour is 20Eur and it's fast approaching the deadline to submit permission slips and payment for the trip. All the boys and girls in first class are counting down the days...
We are so excited to see our Geodome being constructed yesterday. Our student council worked hard to fundraise for it and it'll soon be available for the boys and girls in the school to use all year round!
We've been busy bees in Willow class this term growing lots of herbs and plants in our classroom. Last week, it was finally time to transfer our planting pots to our raised beds. We planted parsley, pumpkin seeds and strawberries. We're so excited to nurture our plants and watch them grow!
HB’s Ice-cream fun day at Powerstown ETNS, June 1st, 2018
It’s that time of year again - Powerstown ETNS will host our HB Ice Cream Fun day in aide of Down Syndrome Ireland! On June 1st, each class will be getting their own delicious ice-cream to enjoy! We are asking all the boys and girls to donate €2 for this brilliant cause, Down Syndrome Ireland. Down Syndrome Ireland is an organisation that is working to provide an Irish society where people with Down Syndrome have the same basic human rights to healthcare, education, employment opportunities and decision making as all other citizens. Please support this great cause! Willow class have been practising hard for the last couple of weeks in preparation for our Intercultural May performance. We can't wait for our families to attend. We can wear our traditional clothes or bring in the flags of our countries. Here's a little sneak peak of our rehearsals! Huge congrats to Omogbai for winning student of the week today. He won this for showing lots of enthusiasm and participation when learning about Sweden. Omogbai has had lots of interesting questions and has recalled so much new information about the country. Well done on all your hard work Omogbai!
Summer is finally here and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than with a good book and your classmates. Willow class were loving the sunny opportunity to be outside and we can't wait to spend more time in great outdoors in the next few weeks.
It's that time of year again when we celebrate the wonderful cultural diversity of our school community. The children are all hard at work researching and exploring countries and cultures around the world. So we are all very excited to invite you along to see their work on Thursday 24th May!
